Celebrating 70 years of recruit training at 1RTU with our latest graduates!🎓 Participants in this year’s first 1RTU course were flown to the former recruit training base at Point Cook on March 6 for their graduation ceremony to mark the unit’s 70 years of recruit training.

It was an honour to attend the Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial to acknowledge the 103rd birthday of our Air Force.   The ceremony paid tribute to Flying Officer John Hester Venn who served in World War Two as a pilot for No. 2 Squadron.

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting the United States Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF) David Flosi and his team. This visit afforded us the opportunity to engage with US airmen and Australian aviators as we strive for an interoperable and integrated force.
