Check out our RSE paper, we found a declining trend of global urban albedo with a warming contribution (positive radiative forcing), and urban greening is a key driver. Albedo change might offset some of the tree planting-based cooling benefits.

Our latest paper is available in NatureSustainability now. We mapped global WUI data for 1985-2020 and estimated the population exposed to the wildfire threat in WUI areas. Very happy to work with the great team on this excellent paper.
