We had a busy weekend! Friday Dr. Betsy Elswick went to Suncrest Middle School to teach students about careers in pharmacy. Then on Saturday we represented SoP at the Junior Open House. a HUGE thank you to Dr. Elswick and our two student volunteers Alex and Justin!

Alumna Cynthia Bissett Germanotta, president and co-founder of Born This Way Foundation, will be presented with a Presidential Honorary Degree during the Friday graduation ceremony. She and her daughter, Lady Gaga, created their foundation to empower mental health and kindness.

On Friday the WVU School of Pharmacy held the Bowl of Hygeia pinning ceremony for our P3 Class. The ceremony marks the transition of students from the classroom to the world of practice and patient care. A big congratulations to our P3 class as they embark on their rotations!

A huge thank you to Davis & Elkins and to the WV American Legion for hosting us at the Rhododendron Girls State College Fair yesterday. We had the opportunity to meet some really impressive girls, talk about cosmetic compounding, and show what WVU’s SoP has to offer!
