Thief! Its mine! I nice little sequence from WWT Welney yesterday of the Roseate Tern getting to a morsel first

A slightly arty shot taken from the basement at WWT Welney of the Roseate Tern getting an emerging bug

Quick visit to WWT Welney today to spend some quiet time. These three were nice and close from the main hide.

Fantastic views of the stunning Roseate Tern at WWT Welney on Thursday. Such an elegant tern and awesome to see it in almost full summer plumage. Couple of pics below.

A fairly quiet visit to WWT Welney with Kyle Smith 🏴 on saturday morning, a few Whooper swans remain, Tree sparrows always great too see, the godwits looked stunning before their departure, 3 drake sleeping Garganey, 60 odd species seen so a nice start too the day.

Tree sparrows are always good value at WWT Welney - nice day out there yesterday with Kev heath - BirdGuides BTO.

I'd been working and missed some local garganey but caught up with three drakes at WWT Welney with Kev heath yesterday - although they spent almost the whole time asleep. Made for a reasonable haul in our few hours there BirdGuides BTO.

White Stork (of unknown origin) at WWT Welney this afternoon. Initially from Lyle hide and later drifted off high to the south. Presume the bird that has been in Cambs recently?

Good visit to WWT Welney this afternoon with excellent views of limosa Blackwits, three Garganey, Hobby, Common Sandpiper, White Stork. Still 18 Whooper Swan around - the summering birds plus winter visitors in the field, and a Bewick's Swan. No sign of the reported G-w Teal.

Some wonderful and multiple views of this very pale Barn Owl hunting around the car park and visitor centre at WWT Welney early this morning. Not sure I've ever seen such a pale one.

A nice comparison shot of House and Tree Sparrow, a small window onto a singing Reed Warbler, a peek-a-boo Great Spotted Woodpecker and a final Barn Owl, a great WWT Welney today
