During last week’s meeting, our new WFPD Jr. Cadets learned about criminal procedure laws, while our senior Jr. Cadets honed their skills in traffic stops. The senior cadets then took the lead in guiding the new cadets through the process of conducting a traffic stop.

The WFPD is urging residents to guard against becoming the victim of fraud following several reported phone scams involving Venmo & Apple Pay by callers impersonating officers. If you believe that you are a victim of this type of crime, report it to the WFPD at 919-554-6150.

Today, Officers White, Jones, and Martin represented the WFPD at the Wake County Law Enforcement Memorial. The ceremony honored local heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty, including our own Officers John Taylor (1944), George Mitchell (1947), and Cecil Enlow (1984).
