1500 Barnacle Geese left out to sea over Budle Point this morning. Failed to add any this evening, but did stumble into a bonny Red-throated Pipit!

First day on the Swallow Pond patch for a bit and a 05:45 start. 3 new with Garden Warbler - always tricky to get here, Common Tern (2) and Swift. Best of the rest were Pochard and Cetti’s Warbler.

Early start on the patch again this morning but nothing unusual best birds the Cetti’s, Pochard, Shoveler, GC Grebe pair and young and the 2 Common Tern still present probably wondering why the Tern rafts are still free range 🤣 the patch could do with some rain!

After finding these Small Red-eyed Damselfly last year on Dukes Pond on patch which was the first known record for Northumberland and the furthest north I was well pleased to see at least a dozen today on the dipping pool.
