Our lab is leading a ODU Biology Dept. study away @oduabroad class on the Social Vertebrates of California. Today’s field trip to Point Lobos State Natural Reserve included a chance to view sea otters, seals, sea lions, Brandt’s cormorants, and a host of other species.

Our ODU Biology Dept. Social Vertebrates of California class was out at Año Nuevo State Park today. We had great looks at elephant seals, harbor seals, California sea lions, pigeon guillemots, western grebes, pelagic cormorants, and a host of other species.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve been named the ODU College of Sciences Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. This will give me an opportunity to help the 225+ faculty, and their 7 department Chairs, continue the academic excellence that is the hallmark of the College of Sciences at Old Dominion University!
