The World Food Programme Rome team joined Komen Italia’s Race for the Cure today, walking in solidarity and standing strong with survivors. In every corner of our work, we show up with purpose and heart.

With violence grounding commercial flights, UN Humanitarian Air Service remains the only way in and out of #Haiti’s capital—a vital lifeline for humanitarians. In 2025, UNHAS has stepped up operations, completing 700 flights and transporting 7500 aid workers to keep the crisis response going.

.@UNHAS planes and helicopters deliver lifesaving aid when no one else can—no matter where, no matter what. But without new funds, this vital service that keeps the entire humanitarian system moving will be grounded. World Food Programme needs $101m to ensure UNHAS stays in the skies in 2025.

This week World Food Programme is concluding distributions in Croix-des-Bouquets, reaching more than 48K people facing emergency-level hunger. It's the 3rd round of distribution to the hard-to-reach area, which was previously cut off from humanitarian assistance. 🙏U.S. government for support

The #EU and its Member States gave $2.4B to World Food Programme last year––support that saves lives and helps stabilize the world’s most fragile places. At #EHF2025, I thanked our partners and reinforced this message: addressing food insecurity is a strategic investment in peace and stability.

Saying goodbye to colleagues who’ve poured their hearts into serving at WFP Haiti (PAM) 🕊️ In 2024 alone, they helped save & change 2million lives. That’s not just a number — it’s a legacy of hope, compassion, & impact. Thank you. You’ll always be part of this story. 💙

Hinche (Centre Dept) has become a major hub hosting thousands displaced by violence. #UN Heads World Food Programme’s Wanja Kaaria alongside UNICEF Haiti, IOM Haiti & OCHA Haiti, visited IDP sites & host communities, met with local authorities to articulate a joint response plan.

"UNHAS is life saving & life changing in this region." 🔊Hear from Cindy McCain on NPR about how UN Humanitarian Air Service remains critical for the entire humanitarian community to access people in urgent need in #DRC 🇨🇩 Funding is needed FAST to ensure that no one is left behind. #SavingLives

When people are forced to flee their homes due to violence, World Food Programme works with the government to offer front-line response. This week, WFP is distributing food for 14K people who were displaced by armed groups in Kenscoff, providing support to families who've lost everything.

At the Joint Meeting of the Executive Boards of UN Development, UNFPA, UNOPS, UNICEF, UN Women and World Food Programme today. Thank you WFP EB President Elissa CAN for leading the dialogue on how to jointly meet the demands and challenges of a rapidly changing world.

The U.S. Government is a long-standing and significant supporter of World Food Programme in #Haiti. This week, Country Director Wanja Kaaria and Regional Director Lola Castro met with Ambassador Dennis B. Hankins U.S. Embassy Haiti, discussing the situation in Haiti and continued partnership.

I was pleased to welcome World Food Programme Regional Director Lola Castro to #Haiti. She attended the UN Country Team meeting Nations Unies Haïti, where she heard first-hand the Agency heads reiterate their engagement - as #ONE, to continue restoring hope to the people of #Haiti 🇭🇹
