Daytime highs Friday and Saturday are forecasted to be in the upper 90s to near 100°F. River temperatures are in the 60s to 70s as well as moving fast. These two factors can easily lead to a potentially hazardous scenario if you go unprepared. Bring a Life Jacket!

The next 5 days will be hot for inland areas, with triple digit temps likely Fri & Sat afternoon for the Portland/Vancouver metro, Cascade foothills & much of the Willamette Valley. Overnight low temperatures will also be running rather warm, offering minimal relief at night.

Today is going to be dangerously hot. Skip the yard work and outdoor workout . Catch a movie, go bowling, walk around an indoor mall, or visit your local library. A few hours in air conditioning can make a big difference StayCoolWashingtonCounty.com

Have air conditioning but your neighbors don’t? Invite them over for a few hours this weekend, especially if they are older and more likely to be impacted by the heat. Play cards, have a light meal together, maybe even make a neighborhood emergency plan! StayCoolWashingtonCounty.com
