Attempted Rescue of Spinner Dolphin in Watamu Marine Park. Stakeholders' efforts applauded in this collaborative rapid response action with KWS to save the female spinner dolphin. Cause of death is unknown. Whales & dolphins strand due to disorientation, age or illness.

It's always one step at a time. The more communities can understand the results of the work we do, it creates a favorable environment for putting up mitigation measures, that are embraces by all parties involved.

There are those strandings that are a sad story but then there are those that are a moment of hope and another chance to life. Today i went back home the happiest man a live and i hope i helped this Melon-headed whale get home and retell the story of his adventure in Mida Creek.

On an exciting journey to the north, with the mission of searching for the endangered humpback dolphins. Our itinerary includes awareness on the conservation of marine mammals, with local fishermen. During our stay, we also plan to gather first systematic baseline data.
