Gyokeres, Delap, Osimhen… wherever they go, whoever gets them… anybody else feel underwhelmed about the lack of quality strikers these days? Where are the elite strikers? Lost to the last generation? A victim of the transition to this awful-to-watch version of the game?

Through all that money he was able to dominate the PL - two titles basically won without a 9? But without another CL he needed a guarantee. So, compromised his ‘philosophy’, threw another bank at Haaland at won everything. The beautiful game just as Cruyff envisioned ♥️

Agree to a large extent. I do believe football is cyclical, evolutions of systems and player profiles. Now it is risk averse, too much caution, too much emphasis on space domination and a reduction of instinct and individuality. Hopefully the next generation reverses that trend.
