It was such a pleasure to be a guest on one of my favourite podcasts For the love of weather podcast with the fabulous Aisling Creevey and Gemma Plumb Thanks so much for the opportunity and the thoroughly enjoyable conversation 🥰

20 years ago today was my first day Met Office - UK I met some wonderful people that day, and plenty more along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding, fascinating and varied career, or a more supportive employer. Here’s to the next 2 decades! 🥳

In this weeks #WeatherSnap Clare Nasir and I discuss some impactful weather for the UK and Australia. And we talk about the comfort index, the temperature at which the human body has to do little work to keep the internal body temperature stable. The numbers might surprise you!

I’ve made some fantastic connections with such a wonderfully diverse group of people ACCESS Network leadership college. And the location of Dartington Hall Dartington Trust is stunning - if a little wet ☔️ #environment #leadership #climate #socialscience #connections #science

Absolutely fantastic weekend Eurovision Song Contest 🇬🇧 #Liverpool did such a brilliant job of hosting on behalf of #Ukraine Loved every second of it. Crazy and wonderful in equal measure 🥳

Great fun being part of this feature, but the message is more serious. Our climate is changing, mitigation and adaptation is required. Extreme weather is becoming more frequent and more impactful. Met Office is working hard to help people plan, prepare and respond to extremes

Great fun being on BBC Morning Live talking about the pollen forecast with fellow hay fever sufferer Rhys-Stephenson Some useful tips for keeping the worst of the symptoms at bay 🤧 including keeping an eye on Met Office app

Well, I couldn’t have asked for a better start to #ECP2023 My first psychology conference but the weather-themed ☔️ (and super-sparkly) performance from Brighton Gay Men's Chorus has made me feel very welcome 🥰
