Upstream satellite processing server for Weathernerds has a failed disk. Quite the timing on that... Hopefully the host company can get me back up soon. Satellite data delayed until then.

Satellite data is back up on Weathernerds. There are a couple issues with some of the gridded data sets (ASCAT and gridded lightning fields) but most of you don't use those anyway. 🙂 I'll get those fixed soon.

I think this is a case where the tracker algorithms are struggling to decide if the storm is a TC or not. The 06z cycle shows fewer members... but it might just be that more members are a hair less tropical in nature.

Pretty solid core lightning rates lately in Milton.

The ECMWF Ensemble issue for Milton seems to have been corrected with today's 12z cycle. So I reactivated the plotting. weathernerds.org/tc_guidance/AL…
