As part of West Midlands Police Business Crime Week, we have continued our High Visibility Presence in and around all our retail areas. Two individuals arrested yesterday for shop theft, with one caught and detained by our PCSOs after he made off on foot BentleyBridge Retail

Yesterday, thanks to a vigilant member of the public, we seized and recovered this suspected stolen moped after it was abandoned on Graisley Lane.

#Charged | Yesterday, neighbourhood officers charged and remanded a male for multiple theft offences in the Heath Town area. He will appear in court this morning.

Amongst our duties today, and as part of #OperationSceptre, we have been conducting knife sweeps along the local canal towpaths. Our continued efforts to keep our community safe and to remove weapons from our streets.

Today, we responded to a call from an extremely distressed mother who had accidentally locked herself out of her house with her tearful 1 year old baby left inside. Our officers arrived within minutes and swiftly gained entry to reunite a very relieved mom with her child.

A busy day for the team yesterday! 👮 Arrested a male for a Robbery in Heath Town. He was since charged and remanded. Arrested another male for sexual assault. PCSOs spotted a wanted male who had breached a community notice, who was then arrested by our response colleagues!

#Charged | Yesterday, plain clothes officers stopped a shop theft in progress at Crossways Shopping Centre. The goods were recovered and the male arrested. He was also further arrested after being linked to multiple past thefts. He has been charged and will appear at court.

This evening, our PCSOs spotted a male acting suspiciously outside a shop that had been the target of recent shoplifting. A foot chase occurred, and the male was caught and detained by our PCSOs. Turned out he was Wanted for a previous theft. Male arrested by our police officers.

This van was seized this afternoon in Heathtown by our officers, after a routine check showed that it had No Tax or MOT since July 2024 ! Another illegal vehicle taken safely off the road.
