The writing revolution has taken off in 2nd grade! We have been writing about our reading stories. The kids are loving writing! I’m loving the shift I’m seeing in them and our teachers.

What I love about the writing revolution is you can use it anytime and anywhere. We got to the writing section of our reading packet this morning. The kids gave a sentence the seemed like a good kernel sentence to me. I threw in the strategies I knew and we grew the sentence!

It is so neat to see the growth of a 1st grader in math! Understanding teen numbers to now tens and ones! So much learning...and it's fun! Connecting the concrete to the pictorial so that the abstract will make sense! #fcslearn #weareachievers

In Ms. Ambrosio’s 2nd grade class I didn’t use same sheet as the students for the writing revolution. I wrote in different colors and then erased the “wh” questions. These kids did amazing!
