Late last Wednesday a fire on the floor above BRIC UNC resulted in water damage across all 3 floors of our Marsico facility. Safe to say there has never been a stranger, more hectic week at BRIC. Now that restoration is underway, we wanted to issue profound thank yous to:

Our incredible staff, working long hrs in taxing & bizarre conditions to safeguard equipment & allow restoration to begin asap. Pretty sure "proficiency @ putting PETCTs in raingear" & "advanced furniture tetris" isn't in their job descriptions & they've been AMAZING nonetheless

The UNC Facilities & housekeeping teams, onsite around the clock both during & after the fire & subsequent indoor monsoon, manning every available shopvac, mop bucket, & industrial fan available to minimize the damage and prepare for repair. We deeply appreciate your efforts!

The UNC Planning team who’ve worked diligently 24/7 to get the resources needed to recover safely & as quickly as possible, including bringing on the fantastic team from Carolina Restoration Services who have begun the work to restore our building. THANK YOU!!!

Even though the folks from Carolina Restoration Services are currently ripping our facility apart, we are still very glad to see them each day & know they will make sure we get every last sooty waterlogged wall, cabinet, and carpet dried and made safe again.
