Deeply humbled to receive the 2024 Weintraub Graduate Student Award. I’m especially grateful for my PI Joe Bondy-Denomy’s mentorship and support, Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs, and all the exceptional colleagues, collaborators, friends, and family who’ve given me the agency and resources to purse my PhD research.
Deeply honored to be selected. Huge thanks to my advisor Nir Hacohen, Darrell Irvine, and MIT Biology for all the support, and my mentors and collaborators for the fun journey. Multiple past awardees inspired me a lot during my career, I am grateful to have a chance to join them.

Congrats to all Weintraub Graduate Student Award speakers. Hal was an amazing postdoc mentor for me and many others at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. He was passionate about genes, jeans and basketball. Truly inspiring!
