My Edinburgh sojourn comes to an end with a visit to my favourite bookshop, Topping & Company Booksellers of Edinburgh, and with the purchase of my first Christmas gift this year, by the wonderful Lesley Parr. Lovely to see a bit of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 north of the border. 📚

Listening to a posh bloke on the tram. His son is studying economics but wants to go into tv. Their neighbour is a director who’s getting him a job as a runner next summer. Said he can move up quite quickly. & that, ladies and gentlemen, is how it’s done. W/c kids have no chance.

My current read - I know I’m late to the party - and it’s excellent. I love ⁦Lesley Parr⁩’s characters, not met one in any of her books that I didn’t totally believe in.

Just finished "Where the River Takes Us" by Lesley Parr I loved it so much ❤-Wonderful characters/story, heart warming family relationships and I loved the descriptions of the 70s - my copy is now going to school, I think I'll find some students to love it too 😍📖😍
