On behalf of West African Conservation Network (WACN), I’ll be in #Abuja #Nigeria in the coming weeks having meetings with key development partners, officials, and other potential stakeholders in support of the #WACN Kainji Lake National Park Project. Dr. Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, Minister of State for Environment, launched Nigeria's National Elephant Action Plan (NEAP) to protect our declining elephant population and preserve biodiversity. This marks a critical step in reversing the threat to our iconic wildlife.


Within the next week, #WACN officials will be on the ground interacting with the National Park Service-Nigeria team at the Kainji Lake National Park. Part of the agenda is vehicle refurbishments and purchases among others for ease of movement by rangers. We can’t wait to start having

Thanks to the partnership between the National Park Service-Nigeria and the Africa Nature Investors Foundation to work together and better manage Gashaka Gumti National Park.
