The children in our year 2 gardening club have transferred their sunflowers from the pots inside to the garden beds outside. They have watered and cared for them really carefully over the last couple of weeks.

Last week, Reception had their first school trip to Eureka! It was a fantastic day and we learnt lots about our senses and jobs in the community. We were able to dress up and play as these roles with our friends and we had lots of fun. Our favourite role was playing the dentist.

In outdoor PE, year 1 created their own obstacle courses to incorporate skills they have learnt throughout the year. They also used their sportsmanship they learnt from sports day to cheer each other on as their friends completed the course.

Year 5 took their orienteering skills to the next level. They created their own aerial map of the school, complete with coordinates and a key, and hid objects around the school grounds for their peers to find. The only clues they gave to others were the coordinates.

This term, children in year 6 have had to follow the design process to create an eye-catching night light that is aimed at primary school aged children, uses a circuit to light up in different colours and be finished to a high standard ready to be sold!

Today, in upper foundation, it has been our teddy bear's picnic! We have been learning about teddy bears from the past and how they have changed over time. We have found that teddy bears now are colourful and come in lots of different shapes and sizes!
