3/3 Guided by Dr Simon Jackson, whose expertise in the field of Herbert studies features in an edition of Melvyn Bragg’s ‘In our time’, the group were warmly welcomed and introduced to a fascinating man and his work. The twin pulpits proved most intriguing!

2/3 In Leighton Bromswold, Herbert paid for the restoration of the church in accordance with the principles of the beauty of holiness and the fruits of his labours can be enjoyed there today.

1/3 A group of ordinands, led by the chaplain paid a visit recently to Leighton Bromswold where George Herbert, one of the great figures of Anglican history, as poet, theologian and leading light in the revival of the 17th century, is associated.
