We take a 1-0 lead into the 6th, but some costly errors and 8 runners left on base result in a 2-1 loss at 1A #1 Remsen St. Mary’s. Have to have a short memory as we host the Sargent Field Classic tomorrow starting at 11:00am.

It’s going to be a beautiful day at Sargent Field. Make a day of it with four games on tap.

We squander a lead and lose a 9 inning marathon to OABCIG, 11-7. More defensive miscues cost us our second game in a row. Have to bounce back against Lawton-Bronson in the final game of the day.

We respond with an 11-0, 5-inning win over Lawton-Bronson. After two weeks we sit at 4-3 including a couple of games against great competition that slipped through our fingers. A lot to learn from and build on. Next up, we host Gehlen Catholic in Akron on Tuesday. #Westerners

A couple of chances to see your Westerners at home this week, a JV doubleheader on Thursday in Larchwood, and a tough MOC tournament on Saturday. Big week, let’s get after it!

We score in each of our opportunities at the plate and pick up a huge win over MMCRU, 8-1, behind a complete game, 12 strikeout performance from Will Hartman on mound.

Wake up, it’s GAMEDAY! Big day ahead at the MOC tournament as we kick things off against one of the very best teams in 3A on their home field. First pitch at 10:00am.

A one run game in the 5th turns into a 4 run loss to a top 10, 3A MOC team, 11-7. Bats came alive but our defense let us down. Have to move on and play our game against the loser of KP and BH/RV at the conclusion of their game.

We fail to meet our expectations as a program and finish off a sloppy Saturday with a 14-11 loss to BH/RV, bringing our record to 6-5 at the end of three weeks of play. A day off tomorrow before we try to right the ship on Monday at Hartley. Have to be better. #Westerners
