This afternoon has seen the second round of our House #Debating Competition in the LRC, where Bowland defeated Pendle after an impassioned debate. They now look forward to taking on Calder, who beat Longridge yesterday. Good luck to those taking part in the final!

Let there be light! 💡 Yesterday, Prep 6 took part in a hands-on science session in the Senior School lab – part of their exciting transition to our Senior School. Many hands made light work as they teamed up to discover how to reflect light 💜

♟️ Checkmate! ♟️ Our small after-school club has quickly grown into a popular lunchtime activity – Chess Club is a hit with Prep & Seniors! Due to growing demand, our chess expert, Mr Glover, runs sessions every Monday & Friday lunchtime, training our future Grandmasters

Congratulations to our student team who were victorious in the annual Staff vs Students football match, retaining the trophy from last year. There was a great turnout from students across the Senior school, with the match taking place on the astroturf in glorious sunshine!

Thank you and good luck to all of our Year 13 Leavers!! After a special stand-down assembly to celebrate their time at Westholme in the Croston Theatre, they were also treated to a special lunch in the Sixth Form common room where parents were invited to share the occasion.

Great to see students in Prep enjoying getting into the spirit of VE celebrations this morning, by wearing red, white and blue to represent the colours of the Union Jack. They also had an outside picnic lunch to look forward to, with a special theme to celebrate VE Day. 🧁😋

Last week, students in Prep had a fantastic morning with G. T. Karber , the author of the Murdle Junior books. In a fun and engaging session, they successfully solved the MURDLE!

This week, Year 12 Geography students have travelled to North Wales on a residential Geography trip. Yesterday, they were at Criccieth, evaluating the effectiveness of sea defences! Today they are making the most of the beautiful scenery and coastal views, on their final day.
