UK's System Operator National Energy System Operator confirmed "NTS compression does not currently support the transport of gas to the high-demand parts of Scotland from the southern zones or from the zone’s more southerly terminals at Teesside & Barrow" meaning no UK fracked gas comes to Ireland!

National Energy System Operator Scotland and Ireland consume around 11 bcm (billion cubic metres) of gas per year while 17.4 bcm from the North Sea pipelines came into Northern Scotland alone in 2024. Over 6 bcm had to go south after Moffat. Do the maths! Irish pipeline gas is North Sea gas, not fracked gas!
