Being creative in our sessions is always good and can also have some extra benefits. Here one of our ladies, who had experienced domestic abuse, was able to relax and paint, and chat with a support worker, who said, “This is an easier way to have some difficult conversations.”

During #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, let’s remember the positive impact of activity groups on those experiencing homelessness. They build connections, combat loneliness and offer hope during a difficult time. Pictured here are our recent cooking and dog walking group activities.

Gill says “I supported a client who lost his job - he’d always worked, so his whole world crashed around him. His mental health declined and I spoke on his behalf as he just couldn’t cope. Now he's in his own accommodation, and is as settled as he can be with his mental health.”
