Couple highlights from my freshman year. The team accomplished great things this season, placing second at state. Although it didn’t end the way we would’ve liked there is so many things to be proud of.

Here is a couple of stats and personal accomplishments from my freshman varsity season. - All region - All state - Co defensive MVP - IP: 123 1/3 - H: 76 - ER: 24 - BB: 32 - SO: 182 (new single season school record) - ERA: 1.90

Thanks to NAFA Fastpitch SB for holding a great Northern NAFA National Tournament. I’m so proud of our team (FM Blaze Fastpitch) for battling our way to a top ten platinum finish. I’m glad I was able to contribute to the success by going 4-0 in the circle and batting .500 at the plate.

Squirrels defeat Maple River 23-0 in the opening round of the Region 1 tournament. Whitney Mitchell with 8 Ks in 9 batters faced. Offensively, Aspyn Prien was 4-4, Bradey Bosse 2-2, Sophie Scherweit 3-4, Maddie Steig 2-3 and Kirra Gunufson 2-3. Squirrels move to the semifinals

Aspyn Prien hit for the cycle and Whitney Mitchell pitched a perfect game as the Squirrels advanced to the Region 1 championship game with a 27-0 victory over Enderlin. Rya Zimmerman, Bradey Bosse and Kaylee Halverson all homered for Central Cass. Sophie Scherweit added 2

My pitching coach surprised me after our team secured a ticket to the state championship game with a ball that showed I hit a personal record of 64 mph.

2025 North Dakota Class B Softball All-State Team

This season our team was able to bring home a state championship, marking the 7th title for the program! I’m so proud of my team and all the hard work put in to make this dream come true! Such a great season with amazing girls and a big thanks to our outstanding coaching staff!

This past weekend my team and I competed in the West Fargo United Tournament taking first place in the gold bracket! So proud of everyone! My weekend stats: PITCHING: IP: 22 H: 17 ER: 2 BB: 3 SO: 25 ERA: 0.636 BATTING: AVG: 0.368 OBP: 0.429 H: 7 HR: 1 RBI: 3 R: 6

Just attended a two-day Gopher Softball camp and am leaving with only good things to say! We worked through great drills and received amazing feedback from not only coaches but also the college players! Such a big thanks to Minnesota Softball for everything put into this camp!
