Thank you Women in Empirical Micro for the opportunity to get to present on a topic that is particularly relevant to many TT female profs and their partners! Paper draft here, thoughts welcome - dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.4…

Super interesting paper that had the whole Women in Empirical Micro conference buzzing yesterday. “Getting Down to Business: Chain Ownership and Fertility Clinic Performance” by Ambar La Forgia & Julia Bodner papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…

Another super cool paper form Women in Empirical Micro - presented by @vini_singh_: "How Power Shapes Behavior: Evidence from Physicians" by Manasvini Singh & Stephen Schwab Amazing health data from the military! And I love the "results as a limerick" summaries of all of Vini's WPs.

Thanks Women in Empirical Micro and Becker Friedman Institute for Economics for hosting this incredible gathering! Truly inspiring to see the incredible work being done by women in our field!

Was honored to attend the amazing Women in Empirical Micro conference hosted by Becker Friedman Institute for Economics this weekend and give some advice for more junior academics. Below I share my top 10, which benefited from assistance from many of my very wise friends!

About 3 years ago, after my talk in a virtual seminar, Sandy Black emailed me with kind words and really helpful feedback on the paper. We had not met prior to that. The email meant the world to me as a Jr, and ultimately led to a better paper. 💕

Huge thanks to the organisers of Women in Empirical Micro! What a fantastic conference - wonderful papers & opportunities to share career advice for female economists. It was fab to discuss Caroline Coly’s great paper on #MeToo and labour market outcomes.

So many inspiring women economists!! Thanks for this amazing conference Becker Friedman Institute for Economics Women in Empirical Micro - If you want to meet other early career women in a convivial atmosphere & get constructive feedback from incredibly well chosen discussants apply next year!
