Very very very common experience for Run for Something candidates - and advice we tell them to ignore. It’s our turn.

Incredibly excited to see Dividing Lines in print! This book will re-shape how you think about infrastructure, equity, and the legacy of Jim Crow. Proud to have contributed to the project in a small way, and grateful to call Deborah Archer (threads: DeborahNArcher) a professor, mentor, and friend.

This is why Run for Something is doing extremely broad recruitment now for 2025+2026. Everywhere and anywhere could be competitive.

Thrilled to share that I graduated from law school last month and will begin working as a public defender with The Legal Aid Society this Fall. We’re living through scary times — looking forward to standing up in court for the rights of those who could not otherwise afford an attorney.

And I hope it rained today on whatever beach John Fetterman eventually made it to.
