A few strong/severe storms are possible tomorrow 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in West Michigan. Like last weekend, however, there's also a potential scenario where we don't see much at all. It's dependent on how storm complexes to our west evolve overnight, and what's left of them by dawn.

Radar trends as of now look lack luster. The storm complex approaching from the west continues to diminish and has segmented a bit. A few weaker storms have formed, but nothing looks overly impressive right now. Next couple hours will make or break our severe chances. #MIwx

More storms on approach up in Ottawa County... farther south things continue to weaken. A line of slightly stronger storms is bringing very heavy rain closer to I-80 in Northern Indiana. #MIwx

Our severe weather risk was downgraded just before 4 p.m. by the Storm Prediction Center. This echoes my sentiments regarding the weakening trends we've seen over the last hour or so with any storms that have fired in our area. #MIwx

4:30 p.m. There's a small cell exhibiting some weak rotation near Grand Ledge. Will still be watching things close for the next couple hours just in case.

Awesome view of a dissipating shower off in the distance, taken at West Lake in Portage. Note the wispy streaks beneath the anvil shape. That’s called virga, rain drops evaporating as they enter drier air. #MIwx

THURSDAY: Hot and humid with the chance for scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening. Not everyone will see rain, but any storms tomorrow are likely to produce efficient rainfall. An isolated severe storm is possible with damaging wind gusts the main threat. #MIwx
