Sixth grade candy gram sellers are still hard at work...2 days left to purchase a $1 kindness message & candy for any WSS staffer!

Thanks to Challenger Learning Center of Orleans Niagara Erie's Mobile Planetarium, William Street School sixth graders embarked on an out-of-this-world journey this week. Perfectly coinciding with the upcoming solar eclipse, students gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the once-in-a-lifetime event.

As part of WSS's celebration of Kindness Week, Student Council members delivered Gifts of Gratitude to numerous community organizations, including the Lancaster Highway Department. Treats and thank-you notes were given on behalf of all  WSS students and staff.

WSS Student Council members returned to school bright and early today to welcome students back and wish them a Happy New Year as they entered the building.

Kindness Week is approaching. We are looking forward to a fun week with our students.

Construction is officially underway at William Street School! Work has begun on revamping our drop-off loop and the parking lot near the gymnasium/pool. Inside the building, crews are in the process of installing new floor tiles throughout the hallways.

We plan to share photo updates each week so you can follow along with the progress throughout the summer. Our Front Office Staff and Administrative Team are currently working out of Lancaster Middle School during the summer months. Our phone numbers remain the same.

We’re excited to share a visual of what our updated student drop off area will look like. You’ll also notice our brand new play area - designed to give students more space to explore and play. This plan also shows the future location of our new building addition.

Week 2 Updates: Cafeteria: New LED lights are currently being installed to improve lighting efficiency and visibility. Boys Swimming Locker Room: Ceiling updates are underway to enhance facility conditions and maintenance.

Week 2 Updates (Continued): Student Drop-Off / Parent Pick-Up Area: Additional views highlight the ongoing work in this high-traffic zone. Upstairs Hallway (Near Main Stairwell): Installation of new floor tiles is in progress.

Week 3 Updates: Work is progressing nicely inside the building. This week, developments include: B2 Commons: New carpeting has been successfully installed, giving the space a refreshed look. Front Foyer & Cafeteria Hallway: Floor tile removal is underway!

Week 4 Updates: New drop off loop and aerial photographs of our construction site. Looking forward to a fresh road this upcoming school year. Young + Wright Arch

Week 4 Updates (Continued): It’s amazing to see how much work is being done inside our building. Everyone is working hard to get everything completed by the end of next month. The dedication and effort from all involved is truly appreciated!

Week 5 Updates: Drywall is up in our hallway, our drop off loop continues to progress, and changes occurring in our front entrance. Looking forward to seeing students in these spaces in the fall.

Week 6 Updates: D1 Commons is receiving new carpeting this week while ongoing work continues in the front entrance, our main roadway, as well as our drop off loop. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.
