Big thank you to all centres contributing. Let’s get this right. Every patient has to be included, all data fields completed in order to get collaborative authorship. In these studies case ascertainment and data completeness are key. We have the opportunity to change practice.

Hopefully the last ever trial on the topic. We know this. For the majority (not all) of trochanteric proximal femur fractures, SHS outcomes are similar to nails. In the UK practice varies widely (Baldock et al 2022) and should be a focus for QI. jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…
