Great day at North Yorkshire Country Park. Fieldcraft tomorrow.

On Wednesday we were in the field, cadets enjoyed a paintball lane and a section attack stand.

Yesterday was the final day of training. A carousel in camp included a gun run, tag archery, DCCT, air rifle range, command tasks, laser clay pigeon shooting was followed by an evening competition for our training group which was won by Wilson’s ‘B’ team.

Many thanks to 4th Light Brigade Combat Team 🇬🇧 CTT. Our cadets had a great week and are now all asleep on the coach. A tired cadet is a happy cadet.

EXERCISE FIELD brought our training year to a close. 1st platoon attack for A Coy and an opportunity for those attending Master Cadet to hone their skills in command appointments. Thanks to our departing SNCOs and WOs who filled in as section 2ICs and enemy troops.

Congratulations to Sgts Kohilathas, Krishnamoorthy and Sawami, who all passed their Master Cadet Qualification CTC Frimley Park. We await their reports with interest along with the other three WSCCF cadets on a subsequent course.

The Contingent Commander met baby Goldhawk today- with the Training Officer as a father and a former Platoon Commander @wsccf as a mother she was inevitable going to end up in a PWRR beret at some point!

Congratulations to Wilson’s #RASTC Team who won the #LASER regional round. Qualifying for the Nationals with old friends Dulwich and Maidstone Grammar. Well done to all who competed and many thanks to the organisers.

Wilson’s won the LASER Regional Round of The Royal Air Squadron Trophy collecting The Drill & Military Knowledge shields and gaining podium finishes in Air Recce & First Aid.

Day 1 of Recruit’s Camp. WHTs complete and a lot of preparation done for Military Knowledge and Drill tests.

Day 2: A Coy continue to impress with 100% pass rate in their basic first aid assessment, in a busy day also including moving with and without a rifle and types and rates of fire lessons along with two command tasks. This evening they completed their military knowledge test.
