Random question I was just asked and didn't have the answer to. Do any wineries have their own plots of forest for oak production? I know of wineries that have their own cooperages, but I haven't heard of any with a stake in, or their own, forest.

We need to stop asking sommeliers questions that aren´t related to their wine list. Beaujolais is over-rated? Get into the sea. Immediately.

I´ve never regretted not skiing - we certainly didn´t have the money when I was growing up. I wish I´d spent more time surfing. To be corrected.

If I made a living selling shit wine, I might also be against the idea of proper serving temperatures, glasses and generally appreciating wine for how it tastes and smells. It´s like trying to sell a Quad Bike on the argument that the car loving community are all snobs.
