Today we celebrated Sonia Kartha turning in her Penn Bioengineering phd thesis& took a summer lab pic in person. Very cool to do both.

So proud of 3 SPRL lab Penn Bioengineering ugrads who each submitted Biomedical Engineering Society abstracts yesterday. Congrats Daniel Du @iggy_naachoo adiva & their terrific mentors @MarcelinJon Sagar Singh. Thx Andy Rachleff Rachleff Scholars & Penn PURM

Back to back #tmj papers from the lab in this months JOR issue. Pretty cool. 1st -Meagan Ita on MMPs from px as they relate to pain onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jo…

2nd paper from BWinkelstein SPRL Megan Sperry Melissa Franklin Painful temporomandibular joint overloading induces structural remodeling in the pericellular matrix of that joint's chondrocytes onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jo…

A day late but still so proud to be surrounded by some awesome women scientist colleagues at Penn Bioengineering Penn Engineering Penn & through prof societies & friendship. #WomenInScience #WomenInSTEM

Grateful for a visit with Gilda Barabino today. A highlight of my day. Penn Engineering and @penn heard her wisdom. Olin is lucky to have her.

Congrats to Sonia Kartha as the most recent lab phd. Great to have been able to hood her today.

Lab has a bunch of great science presos today SB3C Organizers #SB3C2022 - first up Sagar Singh on neuron activity PR in clipper a-c

Still time to hear about MMPs and injury with snot inflammatory treatment. Cutter AB at 1145 by Sagar Singh #SB3C2022

Don’t miss out on BWinkelstein SPRL first year student Sittinon’s poster on high rate loading #SB3C2022 poster #171. You’ll be pleased you stop by.

Reminded of one of my favorite collaborations @ this week’s SB3C Organizers with Barocas Lab with Sagar Singh & Maryam

Very pleased to share our latest study of MMP-1 in spinal facet joint causing pain & neuronal dysregulation in DRG/spinal cord, alters ligament kinematics - congrats Meagan Ita who was lead (and Sagar Singh for big contributions) - check it out! frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…
