Fever could also just waive one or both. They'd be paying them out in full either way. With over 95k in cap space remaining, they have the room to take the hits and fill both spots with Rest-of-Season deals. But may not want the PR of immediately cutting injured players. #WNBA

Paige Bueckers will not play tonight for the Dallas Wings against the New York Liberty after dealing with a back issue suffered against the Liberty Tuesday. Bueckers did return to the game Tuesday but did not practice yesterday. #wnba #wingsup Winsidr

And just like that Kayla McBride walks back out to the bench, no ice, no brace. Kayla McBride with an Alanna Smith level of grit. #LynxRecognize

The Liberty have played such unselfish basketball to start this one. They've made 11 field goals all coming from assists. New York leads Dallas 28-15 going into the second quarter.

Despite missing some looks at the end of the quarter, the Liberty still finish the first with a 28-15 advantage, after making 11/18 shots. All 11 makes were assisted in one of the cleanest offensive stretches this team has put together, plus they've already forced six steals.

Back-to-back threes for Natasha Cloud -- the first off great ball movement, the second off a defender going under -- and the Liberty are doubling up the Wings, 38-19. A very different start than New York's last trip to Dallas, when they fell behind by as many as 30.

“[JJ] has thrown that in the past and she was really mad when I didn't catch it,” Leonie Fiebich joked about Jonquel Jones’ behind-the-back dime. “So I made sure to catch it and put it in.”
