FAO teachers, faith leaders and community leaders: in collaboration with Heart4Refugees and @WirralMEAS we are focussing on the meaning of compassion for Refugee Week 2023 - send some paper hearts to us here at WDC by Wed 14th June, thank you. We are creating a large display.

Calling Wirral schools For #RefugeeWeek we invite you to celebrate what compassion looks like in action! Design a heart, write a message of what compassion means to you & send your entry to us at WDC as part of a collaborative display! Organised w/@heart4Refugees & MEAS - Minority Ethnic Achievement Service

Lovely to see you! Wirral Deen Centre

We, along with Heart4Refugees & MEAS - Minority Ethnic Achievement Service are creating an amazing display of 'Compassion Hearts' for Refugee Week 🧡. Children from Wirral schools have sent dozens of messages of support to local refugees. Exhibition is at Birkenhead Central Library 16 - 24 June. StPeter's CE Primary Heswall

Great event today Wirral Deen Centre launching the new Repair Cafe. Thanks to Barbara and all the volunteers for their hard work in getting things off the ground. The repair cafe meets on the first Sunday of every month at The Deen Centre near Birkenhead Library

Lovely day welcoming friends old and new to Wirral Deen Centre for coffee, cake and conversation to #remembersrebrenica thanks to all who came and supported and volunteers and staff, especially the cake makers! Remembering Srebrenica North West #WeAreOne

We have worked with Remembering Srebrenica North West & Wirral Council to promote awareness & share the messages from survivors this month. Thanks to every single person who engaged in any way: #TogetherWeAreOne! 5 schools, at least 300 pupils, and over 130 people came along to 6 public events.

Important discussions with Y9 Ridgeway High School exploring how different factors such as language in the media, and on socials can influence our perceptions. A great collaboration with Wirral Deen Centre who were looking at wider themes of how hate and intolerance can lead to Genocide.
