I was at the Witney Town Band AGM this week. They have come through the last 2 years so well - some other bands are depleted or have folded because of the pandemic. They display such cohesiveness and are training younger and newer musicians, really investing in people. Stars! 🎺📯

All at Witney Town Band are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We will no longer be playing at the Witney Feast Service but will instead take part in the town’s proclamation of King Charles III, tomorrow at 2pm.

Yesterday the band made its first pilgrimage to the Saddleworth Whit Friday contests since 2017, and what an amazing day we had. The weather was glorious & we managed to play at Scouthead, Lydgate, Greenfield, Delph, Denshaw & finished being the penultimate band on at Dobcross. 4barsrest.com
