How wonderful it is to see this medal haul, Ireland just tucked in behind Canada. And it is not over yet. My earliest Olympics-related excitement is the jubilation felt throughout the nation when John Treacy came home from Los Angeles with a silver medal in 1984. #OlympicGames

Sad to hear that Paul Di'Anno has passed away. I was not yet in my teens when I was knocked sideways by the sheer excitement and energy of the first two albums by #IronMaiden He had a great voice for the music #Rippauldianno #nwobhm #heavymetal #rocknroll 🤟

Goodnight to the incomparable Ozzy Osbourne. Saw Oz at the Top Hat in Dublin in 1987 and the Skydome in Toronto (with Black Sabbath) in 1999. Always gave 110%. A genuine character who cared that the fans always got a great night’s entertainment. They did. #BlackSabbath #RIPOzzy
