We are live from Oxford! #MEEhubs2024

We are about to start #MEEHubs. In the spirit of the conference, I got to San Diego by bike and train (no car).

All #MEEhubs2024 hubs online early European evening / American morning. Each hub giving a good wave to colleagues across the globe before start of our first cross-hub activity.

Hosted a session on sustainability at MEEhubs tonight. Not surprising, but still good to see how people from near and far discuss the same topics we do at LSI Exeter, University of Exeter Physics and Astronomy and University of Exeter. Local change is not a drop in the ocean!

On my way home from #MEEhubs2024. Feeling exhausted, proud, and privileged to haved worked with amazing colleagues, amongst many most closely with Sara Mitri, Elisa Granato and Erik Bakkeren. Hopefully the next MEEhubs can have (even) more hubs across the globe!

Elated that #MEEhubs2024 was a huge success! I hope that others keep this experiment in mind when planning future conferences. A great pleasure to work closely with Elisa Granato Wolfram Moebius and Sara Mitri, but thanks to all hub organizers, sponsors and volunteers!
