It’s #LGBTQinSTEMDay! I’m a queer trans woman working on quantum computation, physics and computer science. I am also an activist. I am celebrating my queerness at a few events today and at Q-Turn Workshop next week👇 Love yourself, be proud 💖🏳️‍🌈 #QueerinSci

Don’t know who needs to hear this but: Your mental and physical health are FAR more important than any research project, publication, class assignment, meeting or teaching responsibility in grad school. YOU as a person are what matters.

When I'm asked to give advice to students, the #1 piece of advice I give is this: Just because a subject is hard for you (math/science/etc), that doesn't mean you're "not cut out for it." You don't have to be a natural at your chosen subject. It's okay if you have to work hard.

I wanted to be an astronaut and my plans got flipped all around. Now I build rockets for NASA and my mission Artemis will be headed into space. NASA_SLS we are ready to soar. #iamanlsuengineer #iamablackengineer #blackandphysics #hearingimpaired #hardofhearing
