Today, we went for a walk around the school grounds and found out the address of our school. The children enjoyed an ice lolly for their snack this afternoon to cool down. We have had a wonderful week. Have a lovely weekend. ☀️

So excited to start phonics today with the children! They really enjoyed it and they all learnt how to read the word, mat 😊 We have also discussed the location of our school, the address and what is in the surrounding area 🏫 🌳 🏬

Exploring Kenyon Hall Farm! 🦃🌾

In our forest lesson this afternoon we went for a nature walk to collect leaves and printed our muddy hand prints on our forest banner. 🍂

This afternoon the children have taken part in a Sikh workshop.

We are honoured to have Mrs Burke with us today to educate us on the religion of Sikhism.

Today in Maths the children sorted objects in different ways.

Tomorrow, Thursday 26th September, we will be celebrating ‘Languages Day’. An opportunity to raise awareness about language learning and linguistic diversity! The children will be exploring different countries and completing a range of fun activities in celebration of this event

After learning about the French culture, food and greetings the children used iPads to discover the human and physical features in Paris 🇫🇷

We have had a wonderful European Day of Languages, learning all about Portugal. We had a special visitor this morning who taught us a Portuguese song. We even tried pastel de nata for our snack. The children all looked amazing in red and green. 🇵🇹

This afternoon, we have explored the colour wheel and tested how the primary colours can be mixed to create the secondary colours🎨🖌️

In Art, the children have created colour sentences and colour matched to examples of William Morris’ artwork 🖌️🎨
