This #MondayMasterclass we are talking about #PlanographicPrinting, which is printing from a flat surface, unlike relief printing that uses raised surfaces, or intaglio printing’s incised surfaces. Lithography and offset lithography are examples of planographic printing.

Last year's winners of the Ushaw Residency & Acquisition Prize, Ade Adesina and Hugh Hamshaw Thomas, have arrived for their residencies! They will each create an original print in response to their two-week residency at the distinctive heritage site in Durham, Northeast England.

✨ International Artist Feature | Elena Kartintseva ✨ Elena is an academically trained painter and illustrator graduated from Moscow State Academy of Print. She has exhibited widely since 1996 in number of shows, galleries and museums including NCCA and Brunel museum.

WCPF artist Eleanor May Watson has a solo exhibition opening at Brocket Gallery next week ✨ 'A Few Shells' opens on Monday 08 July 6-9pm at General Assembly London, 12 St. George Street W1S

These works were exhibited at WCPF23 with The Centre for Print Research in their Cabinet of Curiosities. The wooden cabinet showcased a range of original prints made using cutting edge techniques, from a wearable book and an unfolding almanac to etchings of mycelial growth.
