The RM of Big Stick and several RMs in the region declared local states of emergency in response to a severe and protracted drought, now going on nine years. They deserve and need action and measures that provide support and a backstop in face of the dire situation they face.

🏆 Congratulations to great Melville Millionaires alumni Chris Kunitz on his induction tonight to the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame. The four-time Stanley Cup champ and Olympic Gold Medalist played in the SJHL for the Mils between 1997 and 1999 in over 120 games!

Our little prairie orchard was looking pretty good on my morning run, after a decent rain last night. The 🍎 are coming on. The 🍒 are ripe and mostly harvested. The haskaps were great but are done now. The 🍇 aren’t very productive this year but the vines are healthy.

Prairie trails, buckets of saskatoons and big fish. Glory days of summer.

Appointees to the boards of our Crowns have donated $170K to Sask. Party election warchests. Several have also openly supported — or even legislated — efforts to sell off our Crowns. We can't let this happen. We have to fight back. Saskatchewan's future shouldn’t hang on who

After week of local meetings and outreach on the road, hitting the Foodie-Land Festival in Wascana as a fam on Friday night was just the right speed. It’s on tomorrow, as is Summer Bash Market, tomorrow night it’s Rosemont Mount Royal’s Movie in the Park at Rick Hansen Park.
