🤔What is the essence of PSM? 🧑🔬Inspired on works by @oneumann_ch, Carina Schott, Adrian Ritz, Wouter Vandenabeele... Jessica Breaugh and I find that PSM predicts higher preference for doing non-identified work tasks. 💡The results support most recent conceptualizations of PSM

Motivating public employees has many facets. In this paper Jessica Breaugh and myself combine insights from PSM, SDT and identity theory. We show that PSM behaves according to the laws of ' SDT physics' , with PSM resembling identified motivation. #IPMJ tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
