8 years ago I had a quick chat with one of my older lifting clients on behaviour of employees and wrestlers. He runs a VERY successful company and told me this: "If someone is super talented, but makes the same mistake all the time, it's just a lack of attitude." Sad, but true.

One of my favorite coaching tips from someone working for the WWE PC since: "If you have a talented, but problematic trainee, just start taking him out of more and more things and see what happens. If he asks you why, answer him, if he doesn't, he is done anyways."

Since I've been a coach (13 years), I remember more and more stories of my former coaches. When I did waterpolo, my reward for working hard was that others got beat up with my slipper by the coach. He gave it a dip and took a few giant hits on whoever "needed discipline".

I've never regretted any seminar or training course I've ever attended. Plenty of pro wrestling seminars in different countries, lifting coaching, psychology or marketing. There is ALWAYS at least one little thing that adds up to your knowledge and will last forever with you.

When it comes to weight / strength training for professional wrestlers, I think "work around" is key. You constantly need to work around your: -booking schedule -traveling schedule -injuries -endurance -different body composition needs Be smart on this!

Do your deadlifts if you're a professional wrestler! It builds strong glutes and hamstrings, which are key for healthy knees and hips. Also: producing explosive power from the ground against a stationary object is a highly valuable skill to master in the ring. 210kg x 3 here

240kg If you're not deadlifting because you have a "bad back", chances are you actually have a weak back and a bad training program. Get your ass to a coach, work on your weaknesses and become an ATHLETE!
