Many of you may know that my household has experienced so many woes where it comes to transportation. First we had our car stolen & totaled, leaving us in debt for a car we no longer had. And then there was the car that needed repair, which we showed all the receipts for ... 1/x

... but showing the receipts was not enough for some people, proving how we used the funds wasn't enough, and we were berated and attacked and called names. And now, we face another challenge with a car, and it's going to mean job loss, and then homelessness. 2/x

I live on a fixed income, and share a house with my mother, and another housemate. My mother also exists on a fixed income, and in addition to that, requires constant care, that I provide - being unable to work outside the home. 6/x

We have sought rideshares. We have sought assistance, a mechanic willing to finance the repair, let us make payments. We have investigated Uber/Lyft/Taxis. Every reasonable solution we could think of, and thus far, all of them have been just out of reach. 11/x
