I don’t know why we still seem to need to hear this, but: When someone shows you exactly who they are and what they plan to do, believe them.

Jewish Christmas movie tradition ruined by a burst pipe at the theater. What’s worse, that pipe busted 2 days ago & they didn’t inform customers. So I trekked here, just to be turned away. And movie is sold out everywhere else. Ba hum bug. AMC Theatres you could have done better.

When Mark says “we're gonna get back to our roots,” don’t for a second believe he means promoting free speech. Facebook’s “roots” were to violate people’s privacy & rate college women’s looks. I’ll have more to say, but let’s not perpetrate his retconning. nbcnews.com/tech/social-me…

Yael Eisenstat WNYC 🎙 just to explain: fact checking posts tackles a fractional amount of the literal billions of posts flowing through FB and IG altering POLICY dramatically shapes enforcement in a way fact checks do not. sticking political content back in the feeds means you’ll see it more often

"The full spectrum of changes will lead to even more hate and extremism while ignoring the systemic issues of how Meta’s platforms actually contribute to harm." Zuck has always bent the knee for politicians. This is worse but not different. Yael Eisenstat: thebulwark.com/p/zuckerberg-v…

"These companies are not just neutral pipes through which speech flows. They curate each user’s feed based on algorithmic decision-making and priorities set by the owners." And now, for Meta at least, even more so. ICYMI Yael Eisenstat: thebulwark.com/p/zuckerberg-v…

The most challenging, dangerous, impactful & rewarding work in my 25-year career was as a federal employee. The 5 things accomplished per week kicked most private sector jobs’ asses. Never publicly bragged about lives we saved or threats we tackled. That’s what public service is.

Dear world, Dear Ukraine, and especially Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський: I am humiliated by my country’s leadership today. As someone who has served my country and has spent my career defending democracy, I am appalled. Regardless of politics, this level of disrespect is inexcusable.

A mandatory death penalty for anyone who kills a police officer? Isn’t this the same man who pardoned Jan. 6 insurrectionists who brutally attacked Capitol police officers? Real question for those applauding Trump for that: How do you reconcile those two things?

Press Secretary calling it “this Signal hoax” & attacking the journalist insults all Americans, calling you stupid & telling you not to believe what you see with your own eyes. Show an ounce of respect for the public & say “this was a mistake, and we’ll get to the bottom of it.”

Why isn’t the media giving more coverage to Noem’s sick, depraved stunt in El Salvador? TV news non-stop talking about Signalgate. But this Noem move sickens me as an American & as a human. We should all be outraged, and we all must see what they are doing in our name. Shameful.

I will march today for many reasons. But one singular example should infuriate everyone, regardless of party, status, wealth or ideology. We, the United States, did this to Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Shameful, a stain on our nation. I march for him. Will you?

Listening to Ag Secretary on CNN saying we’ll protect farmers if needed. Follow up question: so you hurt farmers w/ unnecessary tariffs & then buy them off with tax payer $ so they don’t blame you? Doesn’t sound like “efficiency”, sounds like using MY $$ to keep farmers’ votes.😡

I'm old enough to remember when we considered the national security implications of becoming reliant on countries like Saudi Arabia.... But what the tech billionaires want, the tech billionaires get these days, I suppose. washingtonpost.com/technology/202…
