This #SmallBusiness Saturday I was glad to hold my drop-in surgery at the wonderful Brickhill Bistro, outside in the sunshine. I am passionate about supporting businesses in our area, and championing everything #Bedford has to offer to visitors and residents.

Today is the 8th anniversary of the 2017 election, when I was first elected as MP for Bedford & Kempston. It is a huge privilege to serve, and I work every day to repay the trust that has been placed in me. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years.

Here is my statement on why I'm voting against the Terminally Ill Adults Bill. Legalising assisted dying without having universal, high-quality palliative care does not offer true choice. I thank the many constituents who have written to me on this important and emotive issue.
