Vladimir Mikhalev This is a VERY common depiction, so no fault, for sure, but consider consolidating the OS side of the story to focus on where the kernel lives. A VM emulates hardware, requiring a kernel to boot inside, and containers emulate the OS, requiring just the app to run inside.
