We're poppin politics all month! Black music is intrinsically connected to our lived experiences. This has happened since Nina Simone sang, "Blood on the Leaves" up to H.E.R.'s, "I Can't Breathe". In every genre, you can find songs that speak about social issues impacting our us.

Where many genres have distanced themselves from the topics of sex, sexuality, and reproduction rap has made a lane for itself. As a movement, we should be looking to the pioneers of reproductive culture change and working with them to push the narrative.
